ActiveE 3,000 Mile Service

You must admit that BMW does things right.  In the first service for my ActiveE they actually drop the electric engine out of the car and then do a full inspection of the bushings and axel shaft.  It takes about three days to complete the service but I did not care, I was just impressed that they are so interested in how the car is performing and the wear that the car might be generating to do such a full service.

It must also be said that the lack of trained ActiveE technicians at specific dealer locations might stretch out the process and create problems for some owners.  I heard about a dealer who had leased over 30 cars but has only one technician.  Gratefully that is not the case at my dealership, where I’ve received excellent care by my service technician and my car has been well treated by the ActiveE mechanic.

Nice to say there was nothing wrong with the car, it passed the inspection perfectly.  And as each day goes by I love driving the ActiveE more and more.  It truly is the ultimate electric driving experience.
